Carbon Black takes its name after the BMW Individual Carbon Black Metallic, which was first introduced on the BMW M5 E39, at Geneva Motor Show in 1998. It was named after the unique, high-tech performance-oriented material carbon fibre. This timeless colour is unique in the way it catches the sunlight and exudes a slightly blue hue, much like its namesake paint finish
Expertly engineered in Italy, our state of the art fabric uses a patented tridimensional elasticity construction to provide maximum comfort during every moment of your day, with very low maintenance. It is designed to look and feel impeccable over time – even after many, many washes.
Other features include —
Sun Protection: Thanks to the special construction of the fabric and the use of super-opaque microfibres, our fabric filters the sun’s rays offering a high level of protection against the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays. (Laboratory tests carried out according to the AS/NZS 4399 (Australian/New Zealand standard))
Breathability: The open honeycomb construction allows air to circulate between the fibres. Their breathable qualities make it cooler and more hygienic.
Chlorine Resistance: Thanks to the special construction of the knit with the LYCRA® fibres, the fabric is more durable and resistant to the corrosive action of chlorine and protects it from the salt, mould and corrosive agents in sun creams.
No pilling: Our fabric is quick and easy to maintain. The drying time is speedy, and fabrics are effortlessly easy care: they can be hand-washed, machine washed or dry cleaned as required.
"We have spent years developing the perfect shorts, testing prototype after prototype, searching for the perfect balance between function, performance, comfort and style. We've taken a minimalist, reductionist approach to the design, stripping back as much bulk as possible whilst keeping all the functionality one needs in everyday use. They may not look radical, but they are in fact unique in fit and construction, by incorporating the natural stretch of the fabric into the fit, shaping the bum so it's not baggy, allowing the high-tech fabric to do its work moulding to each person’s shape, becoming unique to each wearer. Our waistband is not just a signature detail to identify POOL but is also a key or wallet clip that functions together with the rear pocket. Making the most out of every element is what makes these shorts so special and essential for your wardrobe."
